Course Director Ian Humphris

A reasonable standard of sight-singing is required for this course. There are often opportunities for solo and consort work within the choir (which gives at least two performances during the week) and members are expected to take part in the final concert on Friday evening.

Ian Humphris is well known as conductor of the famous Linden Singers, presenter of music programmes for television and radio, and until recently, conductor of the National Westminster Choir, and Head of Choral Studies at the Centre for Young Musicians. Many of his choral arrangements are published.

You are asked to prepare one work beforehand. This year's work is: John Hinde - O sing unto my roundelay (pub. Novello) available from www.musicroom.com
