Conductor Jonathan TroutThe Chamber Orchestra rehearses independently but at the same time as the Symphony Orchestra.
Jonathan Trout is Principal Conductor of the Derby Concert Orchestra. He studied at the Royal Manchester College of Music(now the RNCM) and the University of York. As a violinist he played with the Ulster, Sadlers Wells and Royal Ballet orchestras. Guest appearances as conductor have included the Sinfonia Bucharest in Bucharest, the London Schubert Players and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra's 'Ensemble Ten-Ten' and the Essex Chamber Orchestra. He is Principal Conductor of the Derby Concert Orchestra and conducts regularly at the Benslow Music Trust.
